Advancing therapeutic skills

Advancing therapeutic skills when working with clients with BPD

Wednesday 21 April, 9.30am-4.30pm (workshop FULL)

Presenters: Deb Dick and Julian Browne

A workshop for clinicians with an existing working familiarity with BPD and its origins, who are interested in developing more advanced therapeutic practice. This aims to be an interactive and enjoyable workshop where clinicians participate in the learning outcomes of the day.

Participants will be exposed to concepts such as transference and countertransference; role assignment; engagement and rapport; and working with boundaries within the therapeutic relationship. We will explore how to work and process the challenging moment by moment interactions, where new therapeutic opportunities exist. The focus of the day will be putting these ideas into practice.
