Dependent personality disorder
Dependent personality disorder: moving from compliance to autonomy (this workshop is full)
Monday 15 March, 9.30am - 4.30pm
Presenters: Rada Nedeljkovic and Janina Tomasoni
People with dependent personality disorder are likely to attend appointments regularly, are very engaged in the session but make no moves to change. They are often seen as having borderline personality disorder, because they do self harm, however the context and motivations are quite different, and the treatment for BPD does not have a good effect.
This workshop will look at some of the strategies to develop a therapeutic plan that will support people to move to greater independence.
