Understanding and treating self-harm with personality disordered clients

This workshop will examine the issue of self-harm for clients who have a personality disorder diagnosis. The workshop will cover:

  • Recent research and theory relating to BPD
  • Treatment and management of the client's self-harm
  • Medico-legal issues
  • Coping personally with high risk clients

The workshop will include group discussions. Participants are encouraged to bring a case example from their work to discuss on the day.

For clinicians from Victorian Area Mental Health Services.

There will be a maximum of 30 participants.

Venue: The Treacy Centre, 126 The Avenue, Parkville

Cost: $99 for clinicians from Victorian Area Mental Health Services,

         $176 for clinicians from all other services.

Catering: Provided

Parking: Metered parking available on streets nearby for 60c per hour.
