Residential Treatment
The Spectrum Residential Treatment Unit provides the following services.
Assessment: where observation over a range of activities and/or over a 24 hour period is required.
Treatment Groups: flexibly organised to suit the needs of residential clients (see below).
Treatment in Periods of Instability: where residential treatment may support uptake of longer term community treatment.
Access: for people travelling from country Victoria who would benefit from the residential treatment milieu.
Spectrum's residential unit uses a mix of formal treatment groups with an after hours milieu where skills coaching and other activities contribute to the client's overall progress.
The unit is open three days per week, ensuring clients remain closely connected to their home communities and support services in between stays at Spectrum.
Spectrum Residential Treatment is suitable for people who:
- Have been accepted for Spectrum community treatment.
- Need a stable environment for a period to make the most out of treatment.
- Can tolerate living in a residential setting enough to participate safely.
- Can travel to and from East Ringwood each week.
