Complex Needs
The Chief Psychiatrist in Victoria sometimes refers clients with complex needs to Spectrum for care co-ordination. The Chief Psychiatrist collaborates closely with Spectrum management and senior clinicians to provide appropriate clinical authority in co-ordination of more challenging systems issues.At other times, a Spectrum assessment may identify an exceptionally severe and chronic presentation where the services need support with planning and co-ordinating the treatment and support for a client, or the client may be itinerant. In these situations, Spectrum has the capacity to provide clinical leadership with the services involved, as well as direct work with clients in some instances.
