What is the Carer Support Group?

The Carer Support Group is a welcoming space for families, friends, and carers who support someone with a diagnosis (or possible diagnosis) of borderline personality disorder (BPD).

This supportive group is co-facilitated by a carer peer worker and a clinician, and offers a warm, understanding environment where carers can connect, recharge, and feel empowered in their journey.

Whether you’re looking to share experiences, learn new coping strategies, or simply feel less alone, this group is a safe and confidential place to:

  • Talk openly with others who understand
  • Feel supported and heard
  • Build resilience and gain practical skills
  • Explore helpful ways to relate to your loved one living with BPD
  • Find a healthy balance between supporting others and looking after yourself

When is the Carer Support Group held?

The group meets online on the first Wednesday of each month (excluding January), from 6:30pm to 8:00pm (AEST).

We’d love for you to be part of this growing community of carers. Together, we can support each other through the highs and lows of supporting someone living with BPD —with kindness, strength, and hope.
