Borderline Personality Disorder Practical Guide

Did you know Spectrum has developed a Practical Guide for General Practitioners (GPs). This is because GPs are likely to see at least one person with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) among every 16 consultations per day (Gross et al 2022).

BPD is not well understood amongst most health professionals in Australia, leading to low identification rates and missed opportunities for treatment, individuals with BPD

The Borderline Personality Disorder: A Practical Guide for General Practitioners is based on the best evidence and clinical experience available.

This book aims to provide clinically useful information about GBPD, demystify chronic self-injury and suicidal behaviours, and help GPs understand the medical condition.

GPs are encouraged to critically assess the information contained in this resource and use their own clinical judgement in relation to making treatment decisions.
