Anxiety, Depression and BPD

Anxiety and depression are very common symptoms of living with borderline personality disorder (BPD).

Anxiety and depression are very common symptoms of living with borderline personality disorder (BPD). In addition, a person may also experience, as co-occurring conditions, a major depressive disorder (MDD) or general anxiety disorder (GAD).

The BPD symptoms of constant fear of abandonment, unstable relationships, and feelings of emptiness can lead to or worsen these conditions.

When BPD, anxiety, and depression are all present, they can feed into each other, making symptoms more intense.

Treatment often involves therapy and sometimes medication to help manage mood and reduce distress.
