Marianne Weddell has officially commenced her role as Grade 4 Psychologist within the Spectrum Eastern Health team. In this elevated position, Marianne will be responsible for leading the psychology discipline across the organisation and providing expert clinical supervision to the Grade 3 psychologists.
Her appointment marks a significant step forward in our commitment to developing robust clinical leadership and enhancing psychological care statewide.
Marianne brings over 20 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, working across both public and private settings. She has treated a wide range of mental health conditions, managed multidisciplinary teams, trained clinicians, and has a well‑established history of supervision and mentorship
Additionally, Marianne played a pivotal role in leading Stages 3 and 4 of the National Training Strategy for Borderline Personality Disorder—developing the Core Competencies Framework and training practitioners in evidence-based approaches. Her depth of clinical expertise and proven leadership make her exceptionally well-equipped to drive clinical excellence and innovation in her new role.
