For Clinicians and Researchers

The Spectrum Research Centre supports clinicians by generating evidence that strengthens assessment, formulation, treatment planning, and service design for personality disorder and complex trauma.

Our work focuses on:

  • diagnostic complexity across the lifespan
  • treatment efficacy and adjunctive interventions
  • clinician decision‑making and practice patterns
  • workforce capability and training needs
  • service models for crisis, inpatient, and community settings
  • system-level impacts and service integration

We collaborate with our clinicians to identify research priorities and implementation concerns within the service, evaluate Spectrum’s treatment programs, and translate findings into practice guidelines, training, and service improvement initiatives that may be applicable to other public mental health services.
